Prime Minister Modi Unveils A Gateway to India's 5,000 Years of History

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the convention centre at Pragati Maidan and unveiled plans for the ambitious Yuge Yugeen Bharat National Museum, set to be the largest museum in the world. The museum aims to showcase India's extensive and varied history, encapsulating 5,000 years of the country's rich cultural heritage.
Derived from Sanskrit, "Yuge Yugeen Bharat" translates to "everlasting India," representing the enduring nature of India's history and its profound impact on the world. The museum will span an impressive area of around 1.17 lakh square meters, housing approximately 950 rooms across a basement, ground floor, and two additional storeys.
The historic North and South Blocks, flanking the iconic Rashtrapati Bhawan, will be transformed into the Yuge Yugeen Bharat National Museum, symbolizing a shift towards honoring India's heritage and cultural legacy on a public platform. These architectural marvels, designed by Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Baker in the 1930s, have long been the heart of Indian governance, housing essential ministries and the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).
Highlighting the incredible journey of India through the ages, the museum will delve into the splendor of numerous eras, vibrant cultures, diverse flora and fauna, and the remarkable achievements of Indian intellectuals. From the mighty Mauryans and influential Guptas to the enigmatic Kushans, earlier Indian dynasties will be honored, offering visitors a glimpse into the nation's glorious past.
Additionally, the Yuge Yugeen Bharat National Museum will shed light on the trials and tribulations faced during British colonial rule, underscoring the spirit of resilience that has shaped India's identity.
Incorporating inspiration from world-renowned museums like the British Museum, the Yuge Yugeen Bharat National Museum is designed with a strong emphasis on interactivity. Prime Minister Modi envisions a captivating experience for visitors, integrating state-of-the-art audiovisual elements and virtual walkthroughs to bring history to life.
Visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in India's captivating past, walking through interactive exhibits that use cutting-edge technology to recreate historical events and showcase the country's artistic, scientific, and cultural achievements. The museum's immersive displays will allow visitors to engage with history on a whole new level, leaving them with a profound appreciation for India's enduring legacy.
With the Yuge Yugeen Bharat National Museum, India will proudly add a cultural gem to its landscape, inviting locals and global visitors alike to explore the timeless heritage of this great nation. The museum's inauguration marks a milestone in celebrating India's past and embracing the promise of an enlightened future.
As the world eagerly awaits the completion of this monumental project, the Yuge Yugeen Bharat National Museum promises to be a true testament to India's profound cultural richness and a source of inspiration for generations to come.
