Ayodhya, India - Amidst the final stages of the historic Ram Temple construction in Ayodhya, the Union Home Minister Amit Shah made a significant announcement on Sunday. Virtually laying the foundation stone, he unveiled plans for the construction of what is expected to be the tallest statue of Lord Rama in the country. The awe-inspiring 108-feet tall statue of Sri Rama will be built in Mantralayam village, located in the Nandyal district of Andhra Pradesh.

Symbol of Sanatan Dharma:

The grand statue is envisioned to serve as a symbol of 'Sanatan Dharma,' the eternal and timeless principles of righteous living. This iconic representation of Lord Rama is poised to become an emblem of spiritual heritage and cultural richness for generations to come. Emphasizing the importance of this endeavor, it is seen as a means to bolster the Vaishnava tradition, not just within India but also globally.

Historic Location:

The majestic statue will grace the landscape of Mantralayam village, situated on the picturesque banks of the Tungabhadra river. This location holds deep historical significance as the birthplace of the illustrious Vijayanagara Empire, which valiantly protected the southern regions, upholding the ideals of "Swadesh and Swadharma."

Ambitious Project:

The ambitious project spans across a sprawling 10-acre area and is projected to be completed within two and a half years. The statue's construction is estimated to cost over Rs 500 crore, a testament to the scale and grandeur of this divine tribute.

A Multifaceted Vision:

During the momentous event, Home Minister Amit Shah also highlighted various initiatives undertaken under the Mantralayam Das Sahitya Prakalp. These initiatives encompass critical areas such as housing, Anna Daanam (food donation), Pran Daanam (organ donation), Vidya Daanam (education donation), drinking water provisions, and cow protection.

Tribute to Prime Minister Modi:

Shah paid tribute to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his instrumental role in paving the way for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. The fulfillment of this cherished dream was achieved after centuries of waiting, as the foundation stone for the temple was finally laid, with the installation of the idol of Ramlala being planned soon.

Respect for Spiritual Figures:

In his address, the Home Minister also paid his respects to prominent spiritual figures like Mathadhish of the Math, Saint Madhvacharya ji, and Saint Raghavendra Swami ji. He acknowledged the rich Vaishnava tradition of the South and revered saints who have enriched the spiritual fabric of the nation.

Conclusion:

The commencement of the 108-foot-tall Lord Ram statue project in Mantralayam is a momentous occasion that symbolizes the essence of Sanatan Dharma and strengthens the bond of cultural heritage. The vision for this divine tribute stands as a beacon of devotion and spirituality, further solidifying India's position as the cradle of ancient wisdom and timeless values. The completion of this grand undertaking will undoubtedly leave an indelible mark on the spiritual landscape of the country and inspire countless devotees worldwide.
