The place of worship is open from 05.00 a.m. to 12.00 Noon and from 04.00 p.m. to 12.00 p.m. Aarties are conducted in the morning and evening.
Lord Krodhan Bhairav is considered to be a powerful deity who is capable of destroying one's enemies and removing obstacles from one's path. The word "krodh" in Hindi means anger, and hence Lord Krodhan Bhairav is believed to be a manifestation of Lord Shiva's anger.
The temple of Krodhan Bhairav is very old and has an ancient history. The temple is said to have been built during the reign of King Vikramaditya. The deity is worshipped here in the form of a stone idol, which is believed to have been installed by Adi Shankaracharya.

Devotees can reach this place in a rickshaw from anywhere in Kashi as Kamachha and Batuk Bhairav are famous places. Some people say that Krodhan Bhairav is the small Bhairav located adjacent to Kamakhya Devi in the temple nearby. - 221001
